Welcome to Anu Yoga School

We Welcome You to Anu Yoga School

Whether you feel called to teach, deepen your personal practice, integrate Yoga into your work as a healthcare, mental health, or wellness professional, or simply reconnect with what matters most, there is a place for you here.

At Anu Yoga School, we believe Yoga is more than something we do—it is a way of being- a way of studying, practicing, and engaging with life. Through movement, breath, philosophy, mythology, meditation, Sanskrit, and connection, we enter a living tradition that invites greater clarity, courage, insight, and connection.

Yoga as a path of self-discovery and transformation begins with a simple yet powerful step: saying yes to study, yes to practice, and yes to the possibility of becoming more fully yourself.

Attending Anu Yoga School can be a deeply meaningful experience. Again and again, students share how these teachings have enriched their lives, expanded their understanding of Yoga, and supported them in bringing practice into their everyday lives.

Our wholehearted intention is not only to spark inspiration, but to help you cultivate a Practice for Life—one that continues to support you long after the training has ended.

Through the study of Yoga philosophy, embodied practice, breathwork, mythology, meditation, and mantra, you will be invited into an ongoing journey of learning, self-inquiry, and growth.

Join us for the joy of practice, the richness of study, and the lifelong process of living Yoga.

A School of Students

At Anu Yoga School, we believe we are students first and foremost.

Before there were teachers, there were devoted students—individuals willing to practice, inquire, listen, and learn. For thousands of years, the teachings of Yoga have been passed from teacher to student and from student to teacher through direct experience and sincere study.

Whether you come to deepen your personal practice or learn to teach, our invitation is the same: remain curious, stay devoted, and continue returning to the seat of studentship.

Again and again, we learn. Again and again, we practice. Again and again, we begin.

This is how the light of Yoga continues to move through the world.

“I have completed not one but two of Sarah Klein's Yoga Teacher Training programs. If that isn't a testimony, I want to share how transformative and fruitful these programs have been for me. I did my first training in 2021, primarily to build a personal practice. This program truly ignited my practice, which continued to deepen until early 2024, when I decided to add another 200 hours to my certification, aiming to become a teacher.

The knowledge and experience I gained from Sarah Klein and K-Lea Gifford deepened my practice and transformed me. Whether you want to become a teacher or feel you have a solid personal practice, having skilled instructors like Sarah and K-Lea observe your practice over time is invaluable.

I've suffered from chronic pain throughout my life, and their keen eyes helped me identify patterns and twists in my body causing the pain. Their guidance has immensely improved my ability to manage my pain.

After completing the 2024 program, I began teaching, and it's been incredibly rewarding. The inspiration from Sarah, K-Lea, and the incredible guest teachers they bring in is unparalleled. Their curriculum is more organized and comprehensive than any course I took in college. I've known Sarah and K-Lea for four years now, and they are not only incredible role models and kind individuals but also hugely important to the Yoga community in Durango.”

Why Anu Yog School?

Exploration of the Self through the four classical Margas, or Paths, to Truth

  • Raja Yoga

This program lays a strong foundation in the methods and techniques of Yogic practice. We learn and embody the practice of Asana, Pranayama, Mantra, and Mediation. We take a deep dive into lineage and learn an Ashtanga-inspired practice sequence. Through restorative Yoga, we walk away with an Asana practice for life. We are all students of Yoga, first and foremost, integrating and creating a deep connection with the laboratory of personal practice.

  • Jnana Yoga

Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras will lead our Jnana Yoga section of this course. Jnana Yoga, the path of knowledge, will be walked by taking on this text and learning how to integrate the teachings directly into our practice, relationships, actions, work, and lives as a whole.

  • Bhakti Yoga

Bhakti Yoga, the path of love and devotion, will be taught and embodied through sacred chants and storytelling of yoga methodology. Explore the many aspects of the One, seeking to know this within and around.

  • Karma Yoga

Karma Yoga, Yoga in action, is taking Yoga off the mat and into the world. This course will not only provide you with a solid education in Yogic teachings, steep you in the methods of practice, but support you in taking Yoga off your mat and into your world. Yoga is about relationships, starting with your relationship with yourself and aligning your thoughts, words, and actions with your deepest intentions. Sharing the love of Yoga, whether it be through teaching Yoga classes, integrating Yoga into our current work environment, or sharing Yoga with the world through your very presence. Our world needs Yoga now. Be part of sharing the light of Yoga by having the courage to clear, cleanse, and strengthen within.
